  • ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...
    THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR
    * PORTIONS OF CENTRAL VERMONT AND SOUTHERN VERMONT...INCLUDING THE
    FOLLOWING COUNTIES...IN CENTRAL VERMONT...ORANGE. IN SOUTHERN
    VERMONT...EASTERN RUTLAND AND WINDSOR.
    * THROUGH THIS EVENING.
    * RAIN WILL OVERSPREAD SOUTH CENTRAL VERMONT THIS MORNING AND WILL
    BE HEAVY AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
    HOURS WHEN THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL
    BE IN THE 1 TO 2 INCH RANGE WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS IN THE 2 TO 3
    INCH RANGE...ESPECIALLY IN AND AROUND THUNDERSTORMS. SHARP RISES
    WILL BE POSSIBLE ON SMALLER RIVERS AND STREAMS WHILE LARGER
    RIVERS REMAIN WELL BELOW FLOOD STAGE AND RAINFALL OF THIS
    MAGNITUDE WILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO CAUSE PROBLEMS.
    * SOME FLOODING IMPACTS ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL VERMONT INCLUDE
    WASHED OUT GRAVEL ROADS...FLOODED CULVERTS...ROAD FLOODING IN
    LOW LYING AREAS...AND FIELD FLOODING.
