    * HAZARD TYPES...LAKE EFFECT SNOW THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
    * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 5 INCHES.
    * MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATES...AN INCH AN HOUR AT TIMES.
    * TIMING...LAKE SNOW BANDS WILL LINE ALONG OR JUST OF INTERSTATE
    90 THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS. IN ADDITION...BLOWING AND
    DRIFTING SNOW WILL BE LIKELY.
    * IMPACTS...LOCALIZED SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS WILL MAKE FOR
    DIFFICULT AND HAZARDOUS TRAVEL THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS
    EVENING. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO
    LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE ON ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY ALONG THE NEW
    YORK STATE THRUWAY.
    * WINDS...WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

    EXTREME WESTERN HAMILTON AND NORTHERN HERKIMER COUNTIES.
    * MAXIMUM SNOWFALL RATES...AN INCH AN HOUR AT TIMES THIS MORNING.
    * TIMING...SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS WILL FORM INTO A LAKE EFFECT
    SNOW BAND AND MOVE SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE AREA THIS MORNING.
    * IMPACTS...LOCALIZED SNOW COVERED ROADS WILL MAKE FOR DIFFICULT
    AND HAZARDOUS TRAVEL OVERNIGHT. BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL
    REDUCE VISIBILITIES TO LESS THAN A QUARTER OF A MILE AT TIMES.
