January 2015 made the phrase ”real Winter” a very appropriate way to describe a very cold January.
After a snowy and much colder than normal November, December 2014 was milder than normal with some bouts of rainy weather, not usually associated with Winter here in the North Country.
October 2014 was a pleasant Fall month with warmer than normal temperatures, but with a few colder days giving us a hint of things to come.
September 2014 was a very pleasant month with near normal temperatures and below normal rainfall.
August 2014 was a very cool month, which was great for sleeping, and a moist month, which was great for gardens.
July 2014 was a great Summer month here in the North Country, with temperatures mainly in the eighties and seventies.
June 2014 was a typical late Spring-early Summer month with normal temperatures and slightly above normal rainfall, which was mostly concentrated in only 3 days in the middle of the month.
April 2014 will be remembered as a cool month that saved the maple syrup season by extending our colder than normal temperatures.
March 2014 continued our string of “old fashioned Winter” months with snow and record cold.
February 2014 continued our string of “old fashioned Winter” months with below average temperatures and above average snowfall.
December 2013 was a colder than normal month with near normal levels of snow and precipitation.
November 2013 was the coldest November on record (31 years) , putting an end to the mild Fall weather that we had been having.
The month began with 20 days in the 60’s and 70’s but ended with signs of the coming Winter, with snow and temperatures in the teens.
September 2013 began a beautiful stretch of Fall weather as warm days and dry conditions prevailed for most of the month.
August 2013 was a typical Summer month with only slightly below normal temperatures and without the heat and high humidity of July.

June 2013 was a very wet and humid month with measurable rain on more than two thirds of the days.
May 2013 was a typical Adirondack Spring month with periods of very dry weather followed by heavy rains and even snow in some parts of the area.
March 2013 was a typical Winter, early Spring month with nearly normal snowfall and slightly below normal temperatures.
February 2013 was a pleasant Winter month here in the North Creek area as temperatures and snowfall were near normal.
January 2013 had two “January thaws,” giving us a month with above normal temperatures and below normal melted precipitation and snowfall.
After a slow start December 2012 became a perfect Winter month for those who enjoy Winter sports, with abundant snow and pleasant temperatures.
July 2011 will be remembered as a very hot and humid month when even the nighttime temperatures remained high. With such warm temperatures and below normal rainfall, it became necessary to water lawns and gardens to keep them from burning or drying up.
