The Next Stop! Tupper Lake group held a "First Tie Down" ceremony Saturday, Nov. 5 for its On Track to Saranac campaign, aimed at restoring the railroad tracks from Tupper Lake to Saranac Lake in hopes of extending the Adirondack Scenic Railroad from its operations in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake to Tupper Lake. The event was held at the train station, which was built several years ago on the site of the original Tupper Lake depot.
