North Creek Osteobusters is an exercise and education program designed to prevent and help alleviate osteoporosis. All classes are offered free of charge and are led by seniors for seniors. Program leaders attend training programs. A typical North Creek Osteobusters class consists of 10 to 12 participants
aged 50 to over 90. They meet Mondays and Thursdays at 12:45 p.m. at the Johnsburg Senior Center (mealsite). Each exercise session consists of balance exercises, free weight exercises, and stretching. Ankle and hand weights are provided. Call Helene Goodman at 251-2846 for more information. Participants must have a doctor’s clearance before attending the first session.
