Adirondack Marathon attracts international field

Runners from 11 nations compete in Schroon Lake

Runners from more than 30 states and 11 countries came to Schroon Lake for the 17th annual Adirondack Distance Festival Sept. 21 and 22. The event attracted 1,289 athletes from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Slovakia, United Kingdom and United States, according to Joel Friedman, race director.
