Rivers sentencing delayed

Third man to be convicted in death of Keeseville man seeks new council

Michael Rivers, the man convicted on May 30, 2013 of first-degree manslaughter and gang-assault in the death of Keeseville resident Robert M. Rennie requested new counsel at his sentencing Thursday, Jan. 9 at the Essex County Courthouse. The request once again delayed sentencing for the third and final individual to be charged in relation to the father of two’s death.

Paul Taylor found guilty of murder

The third and final trial in the murder of Keeseville man Robert Rennie, Jr., ended with a guilty verdict against Paul Taylor, 39, of Keeseville. A jury returned with guilty verdicts on all three charges on Oct. 1 after one day of deliberation, murder in the second-degree, first-degree gang-assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Paul Taylor trial continues

The trial of the third and final suspect in the murder of Robert Rennie began on Tuesday. Paul Taylor, 39, of Keeseville was charged with second degree murder, second degree gang assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Rennie’s body was found near an iron footbridge on Mill Hill Road in Keeseville Aug. 26, 2012. Autopsy reports showed he died from blunt force trauma that caused two collapsed lungs and internal bleeding.

Denno receives 25 years for murder of Keeseville man

Scott E. Denno was sentenced to two 25-year concurrent sentences for his involvement in the murder of Robert Rennie Jr. in Keeseville. Rennie was found dead on Aug. 26, 2012. Denno is the first of three man charged in the death of Rennie to be sentenced and one of two found guilty of manslaughter.

Denno found guilty for murder of Keeseville man

A jury found Scott E. Denno guilty of first-degree murder and first-degree gang assault after three-hour deliberation on May 8 for the death of Robert M. Rennie, of Keeseville. Acting Supreme Court Justice Richard Meyer sent the jury into deliberations shortly after 10 a.m., and they were back with a verdict shortly after 1 p.m.

Denno trial: Medical examiner says death caused by severe trauma

Autopsy results concluded the death of Robert Rennie was caused by severe blunt force trauma that caused extreme internal bleeding.
