Snowmobile racers go airborne during a race held by East Coast Snocross recently in conjunction with the Lake George Winter Carnival. Top snocross racers from the U.S. and Canada competed over two days in the series of sanctioned snowmobile races. The 2013 edition of the Winter Carnival, to be held Saturday Feb. 23 and Sunday Feb. 24, will be featuring a long list of family-friendly events, although the sports car ice races have been cancelled due to the lake ice not attaining the minimum thickness for motor vehicle racing.

The final weekend of the Winter Carnival for 2013 — set for Saturday Feb. 23 and Sunday Feb. 24 — includes a bonfire and entertainment, snowmobile rides, demonstrations, a petting zoo, outdoor games and fireworks at dusk.
