From left, Lilly Nolette, Samantha Harrison, Kaitlyn Wilkins, Erinn Walker, Kelsey Reynolds, Olivia Politi, Aliceson Drollette, and Sheila Wilkins, members of Girl Scout troop 4132, planned and planted a wildflower garden at the Champlain Valley Senior Community (CVSC) in Willsboro. The garden is a leadership project to earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award which is the highest award a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. The scouts goal for this community project was to use their skills and interests and make a difference in the world. They explored the community, chose a project, planned it, and put the plan in motion. The Girl Scout team spent 18 hours on this leadership project to complete the award requirements. The Scouts also created a photo journal which they will present to Champlain Valley Senior Community during a visit in August. Leslie Wilkins was the project coordinator. The girls had fun working on the garden project and visiting with the residents at CVSC.
