Three Essex County officials travelled to Washington D.C. for the National Association of Counties Annual meeting/conference. While there, they met with Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and Congressman Bill Owens and discussed outstanding FEMA/IRENE issues which are still affecting many towns in Essex and neighboring counties. Other items were addressed included the Elizabethtown Sewer Project, the Essex County Radio project, and the effects of the U.S. Government sequester on the North Country.
