Venena Kennedy and her daughter Sierra pitch pennies at a midway booth at the 2011 Smoke Eaters' Jamboree. This year's Jamboree is to be held Saturday July 27 and Sunday July 28. Officials of the Warrensburg Fire Company, which sponsors the event, are now seeking donations of goods and services from area citizens and businesses to be sold at their auction held on the secpnd day of the carnival-like event.

Wbg. firefighters seek donated goods for upcoming Jamboree auction
The Smoke Eaters' Jamboree is a beloved family tradition in the southern Adirondacks for its midway fun, games of chance, live rock music, carnival atmosphere — and auction of donated services and goods, new and used. The event's sponsor, the Warrensburg Volunteer Fire Co., is now seeking donations for the auction, to be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday July 28, the second evening of the Jamboree.
