The Adirondack Regional Airport in Harrietstown has had a good year, according to manager Corey Hurwitch.
Meeting set for March 21
The town is inviting local government officials and the public to an open forum at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 in the Harrietstown Town Hall to discuss the future of the airport.
Board forms citizens' airport committee
The Harrietstown Town Board will be headed downstate this month to speak with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) officials and formally discuss the status of the town’s financially-strapped Adirondack Regional Airport in Lake Clear.
“They are constantly going in and out well into the fall season,” Hurwitch said. “We have, time after time, heard the pilots and crew talk about how they not only want to come back to the area but also want to bring their families. The area pretty much sells itself.”
