Ticonderoga school athletic programs at risk
Budget options call for sports, personnel cuts
Facing a $540,000 budget gap, the Ticonderoga Central School board of education has identified three possible options to keep the 2013-14 spending plan within the state tax cap. All the options include cutting school sports programs and non-mandated classes such as art and music. Each also calls for personnel cuts.

Lady Patriots fall to eventual C champions
Meghan Strong scored six of her team-high 14 points in the third quarter to turn a 28-21 deficit into a lead midway through the third quarter against the Lady Kings. It was the Kings that would own the final eight minutes of play, outscoring the Patriots 15-2 and, ending their season in the Final Four with a 56-41 defeat.
