A wrestling program jointly conducted by Lake George and Hadley-Luzerne Central Schools surpasses other schools in the region as their athletes win a string of Sectional championships and the team sends four wrestlers to the state tournament.

Six WCS wrestlers compete in Section II tourney
A large crowd of Warrensburg sports fans turned out for the Section II tournament Sunday Feb. 15 to watch their school's wrestling team garner one of two prestigious regional sportsmanship awards. The fans got quite a bonus - watching Lane Oehler win a Section II championship at 145 pounds, and Greg Shambo take third place at 132 pounds.
All three of Lake George's winter sports programs just earned championships — and they are looking forward to respectively advance in regional and state tournaments.
