Ticonderoga Plans are under way for the sixth annual StreetFest in Ticonderoga.
The 2014 edition will be held Saturday, July 26, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Montcalm Street, which will be closed to traffic to create a pedestrian mall.
“We invite the community, area visitors, businesses and vendors to join us for the sixth annual StreetFest in downtown Ticonderoga,” Darlene Treadway, StreetFest committee chairwoman, said. “The committee is already working hard to coordinate the event, add new aspects and book a variety of live music and entertainment, as we continue to grow this wonderful event in Ticonderoga.”
StreetFest will include local businesses offering promotions, specials and sidewalk sales as well as an array of food options, street vendors, arts and crafts, live music, children’s activities, face painting, full face art, caricatures, displays and more.
Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
The StreetFest committee is in the process of registering vendors for the 2014 street celebration. People interested in being a vendor can contact the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce at 94 Montcalm St. or Email email@example.com. Applications have been sent out to all 2013 participants.
“Vendors including downtown merchants, retail stores, restaurants, food vendors, arts and craft vendors, vendors with local hand crafted products are encourage to participate,” Treadway said.

Treadway, Leslie Midgley and Robert Dedrick are the StreetFest committee chairs. All are Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Board Members. In addition to the committee the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will assist with the event as the TMSP Coordinator.
The Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership is a not-for-profit organization established in 2007. Its mission is to create and enhance the economic, historic and social development of Ticonderoga’s traditional business district, employing the National Trust Main Street Center’s guidelines for organization, design, promotion and economic restructuring.
