— Chamber Day will be celebrated in Ticonderoga.

The fourth annual observance by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce will feature the presentation of membership plaques and an open house Wednesday, April 2.

“Chamber Day gives the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce an opportunity to greet and talk with members as well as thank them for their continued support and dedication to the chamber and the community,” Matthew Courtright, chamber executive director, said. “Please feel free to stop and talk to a TACC staff member, ambassador or board member if you see them throughout the community on Chamber Day. We encourage all members to display their plaque in a location where community members and visitors can easily see it.”

The Ti chamber will deliver 2014 membership plaques to local businesses that day. Plaques to chamber members outside the area will be mailed.

The chamber will also host an open house 1 to 3 p.m. at its office at 94 Montcalm St., Suite 1 in Ticonderoga.

“Businesses and organizations that are not-yet members interested in learning more about the chamber of commerce and the benefits of being a member are encouraged to attend,” Courtright said. “Current chamber members wishing to learn more about the benefits of being a member or have questions are welcome to attend.”

For information or to make an appointment during the open house contact the TACC office at 585-6619 or chamberinfo@ticonderogany.com.

“Chamber members receive an array of benefits including marketing, promotion, publicity and exposure through listings on the chamber’s website and printed business directory, member referrals, business support, services, trainings and seminars, marketing and networking opportunities and much more,” Courtright said.

In addition to the benefits offered by the local chamber, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce members become associate members of the Plattsburgh North Country Chamber of Commerce which gives them access to a commerce card discount program, health insurance administrator and energy savings eligibility.
