Snow covered roads lead to accident in Crown Point

New York State Police responded to a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident on State Route 9N in the Town of Crown Point around 11:45 Wednesday, March 12.

Police say during snow storm Vulcan 20 year old Ticonderoga resident Devin T. Moore was traveling north in a 2012 Honda Civic on State Route 9N.

Moore lost control of his vehicle and traveled into the south bound lane colliding head on with a 2005 Ford F-350 pick-up truck driven by 36 year old Moriah man Aaron T. Scalzo.

Moore and two other occupants, Shelby L. Vradenburg, 16 years old of Ticonderoga, and Devin M. McCoy, 19 of Crown Point, were transported to Moses Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga for treatment.

Scalzo and his passenger, 26 year old Cory J. Thompson, of Ticonderoga were not injured.

Moore was ticketed for failure to keep right.

Crown Point Fire, EMS and Lomoille Ambulance assisted on the scene.
