Dogs at the beach

—  Yes, there will be dogs. Lots of them – all sizes, ages, and breeds. They will be at Minerva Beach Saturday, July 12, for the second annual “All breed Fun Dog Show,” and (with a new twist this year) the, “Adirondack Iron Dog Challenge.”

The challenge is a 1-¼ mile run (or walk) involving mud, water, and obstacles with your pooch, and the dog show is a multi-event adventure including competitions for cutest puppy, loudest bark, oldest K-9, etc. There will also be a doggie costume parade and a timed obstacle course.

As with last year’s Fun Dog Show, there will be dog demos, various vendors, raffles, and refreshments.

All proceeds and donations will benefit the Minerva Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad. Contact Patty Warrington at 251-5116 for more information and entry forms.
