Kitty Purry was found by a concerned citizen in the city of Plattsburgh. This fluffy cat found her way onto this nice person’s property and kept trying to get inside. Unfortunately, the resident cat and this cat could not share the same space and she was brought to Elmore SPCA to find a good home. Kitty Purry was very afraid when she arrived at the shelter. We immediately placed her in a foster home where she only came out to eat and do her business for the first two weeks. She is good with dogs if they are good with cats; meaning if the dogs charge at her she will run, but if the dogs engage with her she will engage back. She is very shy and takes a while to bond with people, but when she does bond she really goes all out. This young adult cat loves to be brushed, to be pet and to knead with her nails. She does use the litter box, but doesn’t always cover her feces. Kitty Purry has tested negative for FeLV/FIV, has been spayed and has been made current on vaccinations. She is ready to find her new family. She will do best in a home where she can be free to interact at her convenience, and where she will have a place to go if she feels overwhelmed. Although this gorgeous cat is afraid she is in no way feral or aggressive. She just needs some people with patience and lots of love to give.UPDATEKaty Purry is now out of her foster home and living life in the colony. She has really come out of her shell as they say and has become a loving and engaging cat. She loves to knead people, carpet and pillows and doesn’t always velvet her paws. She enjoys a thorough brushing and petting; she often drools when she extremely happy. Come in and meet this gorgeous and loving cat.
