250th a success

To the Times of Ti:

Ticonderoga, the first 250 Years Committee cosponsored by the Ticonderoga Historical Society and the Ticonderoga Heritage Museum would like to thank all who took part in our week-long celebration to mark the 250th anniversary of Ticonderoga’s settlement.

Our committee worked for 3 ½ years to raise funds for the events that took place during the week of July 19-27 (Lectures, street dance with Master Cylinders, kids’ activities in the park, BubbleMania, Ruby Shooz and Fireworks) by producing and selling two commemorative calendars, trivets and yo-yo’s. The Ticonderoga Stamp Club also produced a special stamp cachet to mark this important anniversary.

A special thanks to the Ticonderoga Kiwanis Club for providing a Bounce House for the kids. Also to Silver Bay, AmeriCorps, Imagination Library volunteers and the Ticonderoga Police Department for overseeing the park events on Thursday afternoon and evening.

Keepsake calendars are still available at the Hancock House (2 for $5)

Hope to see you at the 300th anniversary!
