Saranac looking to teamwork to improve the season

— The Saranac boys varsity soccer team is looking to be competitive in the Northern Soccer Leagues’ Division I in 2013.

“The team is full of workhorses that want to win,” head coach Jim Testo said. “We lost some starters from last season however we feel we will be even more competitive because we have gained speed and a team mentality.”

Testo said that key contributions will be expected this season from Aaron Cross, Austin Myers (pictured), Caleb Keysor and Jessee Thew.

The Chiefs roster includes seniors Cody Plumadore, Nate Mather, James Black, Aaron Cross, Caleb Keysor, Jarett Wright and Jessee Thew; juniors Christopher Fall, Elijah Bolivar, Mitchell Fink, Isiah Dessurault, Codie Gillette and Kellen Louis; and sophomores Schuyler Grato, Alex Zurlo, Austin Myers and Brian Menia.
