Areas schools ready for 2013-14 first day

 Ring the bell. School’s back in.

Local schools will welcome students back to their hallways and classrooms next week, with all area schools opening Thursday, Sept. 5.

AuSable Valley will ring the opening bell on Sept. 5, which will be a full day of classes.

Elizabethtown-Lewis will also open for the first full day of school Sept. 5. They will have a full day of school.

Keene Central will also open for the first full day of school Sept. 6 with a full day.

Westport Central School will open Thursday, Sept. 5. This will be a full-day session for all students. The opening day agenda for students in grades 7-12 will include homeroom activities and mini-class rotation allowing the students to visit all their assigned classes. Students in grades K-6 will have classroom time as well. All students will enjoy a picnic lunch. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Main Office at 962-8244.

In Willsboro, school will open for students on Sept. 5 with a full day of classes.
