“You have employees that want to understand what is going on,” Scozzafava said. “It is not right that we, as a county, are not doing anything to help them through this transition. These are life-changing decisions that have to be made.”
“I cannot tell them what the Specialty Care’s transition plan is going to be,” Palmer said. “The time frame is Dec. 31. At this point, I do not know that.”
Palmer added that all union employees are to be offered a job at the facility, according to the deal reached between the county and Specialty Care.
