Gregson event a classic

To the Times of Ti:

The sixth annual Lance Gregson 1-Eye Classic Cycling and Picnic Event was a spectacular success. Lance Gregson, for whom this event is a memorial, was an avid cyclist who rode all over the Schroon Lake area and hoped to see more people on their bikes.

This year we welcomed 80 cyclists to Schroon Lake, 20 more than last year, with four friendly groups of cyclists tackling short and easy to longer and more difficult rides. The food wowed us all, potluck dishes rounded out by contributions from our great local restaurants. Plenty of non-riders also ate and enjoyed live music by MTV. This event is run by an amazing group of volunteers, including the Schroon Lake EMTs standing by, who cheerfully step up each year to make it so.

When’s the last time you rode a bicycle? Won’t you consider joining us next year? Thank you, Schroon Lakers, for keeping Lance’s memory alive by supporting what he loved best.
