Voters OK spending plans

Voters have approved area school district budgets for 2013-14. Spending plans for Crown Point, Moriah, Putnam, Schroon Lake and Ticonderoga all got the OK from residents during voting May 21.

Spending plans for Crown Point, Moriah, Putnam, Schroon Lake and Ticonderoga all got the OK from residents during voting May 21.

Crown Point’s $6.2 million budget passed 97-10. Mitch St. Pierre, Kathy Debrolander and Julie Budwick were elected to the school board.

Moriah voters approved a $15 million budget 238-50. A proposition to buy a school bus passed, 231-59. Benjamin Winters and Charles French were elected to the school board.

Residents in Putnam OKed a $2.2 million budget, 54-17. They also approved a resolution to increase the district’s capital fund, 61-10. Charlie Bain was elected to the school board.

In Schroon Lake the $7.4 million was approved, 200-144. A bus purchased was OKed, 200-134. Tina Armstrong was elected to the school board.

Ticonderoga voters approved an $18.5 million budget, 550-382. A proposal to buy a school bus passed, 458-431. Mark Russell, Bob Palandrani and Tracey Cross-Baker were elected to the school board.
