continued Director of Student Services is an eleven-month position, with an initial annual salary of $90,000.00. The salary will be re-negotiated annually, contingent upon performance evaluations and demonstrated progress toward district goals and priorities.
In addition to the regular workload of the job, Osborne noted that Hutchins will serve as a ‘lead evaluator’ of teachers under the state’s new laws and regulations for annual professional performance reviews.
“Mrs. Hutchins has been serving as an interim administrator in this particular position since November, therefore, she has become quite familiar over the last five months with the demands and responsibilities to be carried out by a district level administrator in this capacity,” Osborne said. “Hutchins’ passion for education is evident in her daily work and interactions with all stakeholders. She employs a practical, commonsense approach while listening to the various needs of our school community. Our school district’s potential is greater with Cheryl Hutchins in a leadership role, and I look forward to our continued forward movement.”
