Small business owners to host Ladies Night Out Expo

PLATTSBURGH — A night for fun pampering and business collaboration for local women will come together for a “Diva Shopping Expo” at the Plattsburgh Holiday Inn, 412 New York 3, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on April 12.  

The Ladies Small Business Network will host the event to promote female-owned area businesses, preview available local services and products, and raise money for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).

“It’s going to be a kind of fun evening,” said Tracy Graves, chairperson of the event.

More than 20 vendors will attend the event to offer samplings of products, demonstrations of services and sales of both.

“Pretty much anything you can think of for a night of pampering we will have at the expo,” Graves said.

There will be more than 25 different businesses on hand along with a Chinese auction, snacks and giveaways.

There will be handbags and jewelry, beauty treatments, astrology readings, chocolate makers, pampered chef product sales, and more. Representatives from Designs by Decoupage, I’m Sew Crazie Sewn Gifts, Avon, Window Dressing’s, Liberty Travel with Julie Liberty, Happy Tails Dog Biscuits and Accessories, Tupperware, Arbonne International, Daisy Blue Naturals, Silpada Jewelry, Cierra Ashley Scent Warmers, Danielle’s Design, Jam Berry Nails and Nature’s Daughter make-up products.

Consultants from It Works, a weight loss wrap provider, Isotonix Products, and ONE, options for northeast in esthetics will also be available for consultations and demonstrations.

Graves, owner of All Things Diva and chairperson for the expo, said the event should be a fun-filled night of pampering and networking with other businesswomen.

The event costs $5 at the door and benefits MADD.

“With prom around the corner we feel it is a great time to promote monies to this charity and also a wonderful time to help independent women jump-start their businesses for spring,” said Graves.
