Anita Richards from Emmanuel Methodist shared the following information she received from Glens Falls Historian Wayne Wright:

"The significance of ringing the bells goes back to the early 1800s when news needed to be spread fast. The best and easiest way to do that was by ringing all of the church bells. When families who lived further away from the settlements heard the bells, they would send a member of the family to find out what was going on."

Chamber represented at Expo

The Bolton Chamber of Commerce and Girlfriends Getaway in Bolton will each have a booth at the Adirondack Sports and Fitness Expo at the Saratoga City Center on Saturday March 9 and Sunday March 10.
