“Savor the Arts” will be held at the school Thursday, March 14, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. It will feature about 50 student musicians, actors and artists.

Tickets are $5 a person and $15 for a family.

The event will be held concurrently with the school book fair family night in the elementary wing. Families are encouraged to attend both events.

“It will be an evening of music, visual arts, film and drama presented by CPCS high school students in a café setting,” said Jeris French, music teacher. “Proceeds will benefit the CPCS music department for instruments, sheet music and accessories for the fourth – 12th grade instrumental program.”

Art on display will include portraits and Japanese brush painting.

The drama club will present a preview of this year’s school play, “Arsenic and Old Lace.” The play will be performed March 22 and 23.

Students in the school video club will show “Adventures in Feline Physics.” The student-produced film placed 10th in a national competition.

Homemade desserts will be on sale and guests can enter a raffle to win an entire cake or pie.
