Montcalm Street to be closed to traffic July 27

The fifth annual StreetFest in Ticonderoga is slated for Saturday, July 27. It will feature sidewalk sales, arts and crafts, shopping, food, fun, entertainment, and family activities 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Montcalm Street, which will be closed to traffic for the day to create a pedestrian mall. The event is free.

— Vendors interested in participating can contact the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce for an application are still being recruited and past vendor participants are. Registration is $50 for a 10 x 10 space. Completed forms should be returned to the TACC at 94 Montcalm St., Suite 1, Ticonderoga 12883. Checks should be made payable to the Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP).

Montcalm Street will be closed between Lake George Avenue and Champlain Avenue 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for StreetFest.

“I’m truly impressed with what a small committee of dedicated volunteers has been able to accomplish for our community,” John Bartlett, TMSP promotions chairman, said. “Both for the StreetFest event and the Best Fourth in the North celebration. People should plan to come early so that they don’t miss anything. It is going to be a wonderful event for all of us to enjoy.”

The Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership is a not-for-profit organization established in 2007.
