STANDISH, Me. — Denise Plano of Elizabethtown graduated from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine with a Master of Health Administration. Plano is chief clinical and quality officer at Elizabethtown Community Hospital.

BURLINGTON, Vt. — Some 2,557 students were awarded a variety of bachelor’s degrees during the University of Vermont’s 211th Commencement ceremonies on May 19, including:

Jane F. McClelland of Keene Valley, who received a BS in Nutrition and Food Sciences.

Dana V. Allen of Westport, who received a MSW in Social Work.

Sarah J. Gibbs of Westport, who received a BA in Studio Art.

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — Zak Breckenridge of Essex recently graduated summa cum laude from Bard College at Simon’s Rock with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Contemporary Critical Theory. Breckenridge attended Lake Champlain Waldorf Hs before leaving after 10th grade to enter college early. Breckenridge was one of 124 students to graduate from the early college on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Fifty two undergraduates received their B.A. degrees and 72 received their A.A. degrees.

POTSDAM — The following local students graduated from Clarkson University on May 11, 2013:

Shannon M. Hanson of Elizabethtown received a bachelor of science degree with distinction in global supply chain management, law studies minor .

Darren J. McGreevy of Wilmington received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

CLINTON — Sean M. Davis, son of Michael and Laurie Davis of Willsboro, received a bachelor of arts degree from Hamilton College on Sunday, May 26, concluding the college’s 201st year.

CANTON — Rebekah M. White of Westport graduated magna cum laude and was awarded a degree in English from St. Lawrence University May 19. White graduated from Elizabethtown-Lewis Central School.

POTSDAM — The following students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2013 semester at Clarkson University:

Zachary Denton of Elizabethtown, a junior majoring in environmental health science and pre-physical therapy.
