continued “Once they get into the program and see the benefits, (just getting out of jail) is not the important part to them anymore,” he said. “They see the benefits that it has made in the eyes of them and their family, and that becomes the success for them.”
Meyer said that the court is still being formed and that the biggest need is veteran volunteers.
“We are still in the formation process, and we are trying to get together the mentors,” he said. “That is a key part of the Veterans Court, to get veterans who are not in trouble to come in and help those in need of the services.”
