Paranormal detective work?
Adirondack Spectral Investigations is a local group which investigates strange phenomenon in historic houses and private residences throughout the region.
Founded by Sally Feihel in 2011, she and Cheryl Kenyon have worked together to find out why the afterlife decides sometimes to linger, the two have said.
Feihel and Kenyon were recently interviewed about their work by David Storey of TV8, based in Glens Falls. While they were being interviewed, the duo reported, some strange activity occurred in the studio and all of an initial recorded interview was destroyed due to an apparent equipment malfunction. David told the women that this has never happened before, we hear, and Cheryl said she had seen an orb — which is described as spiritual energy — flash through the studio. Their interview was aired on July 17, one day after the interview. Sally and Cheryl were there to promote their “Historical Haunts of Thurman — Ghost Tour” they will be hosting Aug. 17. There are two tours: the first departs at 10 a.m. and returns for light refreshments at noon, and a second starts at 2 p.m. and returns at 4 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for a fee of $20. To reserve a ticket, contact Sally at 623-4889.
