Scene in Plattsburgh - Style & Substance

Clothing and style are always topics for discussion with a big question; Do clothes make the man or woman? We agree that they certainly make the first impression! The prevailing thought – “dress the part” – take yourself seriously and others will as well. Developing a personal style will bring to life all the qualities that make you YOU.

DEB and GREG SHERMAN, ALLISON GARDNER and JULIE ROSS brought great stories and advice about youthful retirement and wedding planning. Being at the Wine Company for the first time, they are adding it to their list of great places to meet friends and enjoy a glass of local wine…great advice!

A “bravo” to LINDA O’BRIEN and CANDE McKEON, who stopped to give and get advice on redefining a career. Modern day work is being redefined by people returning to work after a ‘first’ retirement, going back to school, and taking leaps of faith, and that is advice that can serve us well in a variety of life situations.

And a final surprise visit from RYAN BUCK, of ETS, and STEPHANIE LANGILLE, of the Press Republican, out for a night of birthday surprises. They certainly put the naysayers of “nothing to do in Plattsburgh” to shame.

Being regular readers of The Burgh, BUTCH and ANDREA HOFFMAN stopped by to reconnect with an old friend from Air Force years in Spangdahlem, Germany!
