Seniors plan trip to Canada
The Warrensburg Fifty-Plus Club has planned a trip to Ottawa, Canada and Thousand Islands and is now accepting reservations. The trip is a five-day, four-night excursion set for Sept. 17 through 21.
The cost of $474 per person (double occupancy) includes bus transportation, taxes and meal tips.
To make a reservation for the trip, a $50 deposit is required by Aug. 1.
The trip includes three nights lodging in Ottawa, one night’s lodging in the Thousand Islands region, four breakfasts and three dinners (two in Ottawa and one in the Thousand Islands area), a guided tour of Ottawa, a tour of Parliament Hill, and a visit to both Byward Market and the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
The trip also features a Thousand Islands sightseeing boat cruise including a visit to Boldt Castle, a visit to Casino du Lac Leamy, a souvenir gift, bus transportation and luggage handling. A valid passport is required when traveling into Canada.

Church sets Vacation Bible School
The Warrensburg Free Methodist Church is holding their Vacation Bible School Friday Aug. 9 through Sunday Aug. 11.
The sessions, offered for children ages 3 through 12 are to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 10, and at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 11.
The series, titled “Hay Day,” will feature crafts, games, fun, music, and a visit from a character portraying “Sunflower Sam.”
