— Marsha Roy will serve as the 2013 Lake Placid High School Winter Carnival Archbishop. Roy retired from full time teaching at the Lake Placid Middle/High School in 2011. If you attended the Lake Placid Middle School in the past three decades the chances are that Roy introduced you to your first sewing machine, taught you how to make beef foldovers, and how to burp a baby. When a graduate opens The Olympian, to reminisce, there he or she is: in class, on the team, in the musical – thanks to Roy.

While waiting for the Coronation to begin on Saturday night, admire the many sectional banners, made by, yes, you guessed it, Roy, and make sure to check out the royal attire, also created by Roy.
