Three courses offered this winter/spring semester

— Introduction to Cycling will be offered by avid recreational cyclist, Phil VonBargen, starting on May 18. The course will meet weekly, on Saturdays from 9:30 to 11:30a.m. and will run for 6 weeks. For those interested in the fundamentals of safe cycling and/or those who are new or returning to the sport of road cycling, this course provides instruction and recreational rides starting on recreation paths, then into bike lanes, and eventually onto safe roadways. Distances will gradually increase each week from 2 to 15 miles. Participants will build confidence and skill so they can ride safely in the road and with traffic.

Students can register for all of these courses online at either www.plattsburghrecreation.com or www.clinton.edu/ccwd.

“By partnering together for these classes, we are able to offer new and interesting courses to students without duplicating services in our community or expending extra resources,” said Ashley Cousens, Coordinator for Community and Workforce Development for Clinton Community College. “We’re excited to forge this new partnership with the City Recreation Department through these course offerings and we hope to continue expanding this partnership in the future.”
