The Patriots were unable to hold a 17-9 first quarter lead in dropping their Division I opener to Peru. Shane Douglas paced the Patriots with 22 points (17.0 ppg) with John Goodnough adding 12, Kobe Parrow 5, Zach Cosgrove 4, Nick McDonald 4, Austin Facteau 2 and Sultan Sikandar 2.
Plattsburgh High 111, AuSable Valley 59
Justin Cook and Gavin Friedrich were winners in the pool for the Patriots against PHS, as Cook swam the 200 free in a time of 2:29.82 and Friedrich captured the 500 free with a time of 5:56.08. Friedrich also finished second in the 200 medley. Dylan Sheffer (500 free) and Mark Whitney (100 back) earned second place finishes, while third place finishers included Thorne Bola (200 free), Dillon Drollett (100 fly) and Whitney (100 free).
Northern Adirondack 65, AuSable Valley 15
After Dylan Baker (2-0, 1 pin) gave the Patriots a 15-12 lead after scoring a 7-1 decision victory at 120 lbs., the Patriots were unable to score another point in falling to Northern Adirondack. The competition started with Kenny Rivers (2-0, 2 pins) earning a pin 27 seconds into his match, while Taylor Blaise (1-1) earned a forfeit victory for the Patriots.
