— The ever-growing Hudson Headwaters Health Network has just added a new dimension to their array of health care services, as the health chain has acquired an eminent obstetrical practice in Glens Falls.

Just recently, the physicians, midwives and staff of North Country Obstetrics & Gynecology joined join Hudson Headwaters, making their 90 South Street practice Hudson Headwaters’ 16th health center.

Now, full service women’s health care is available in two convenient locations: 90 South Street in Glens Falls and at the Warrensburg Health Center.

Hudson Headwaters Health Network founder Dr. John Rugge said that he and other HHHN staffers were excited about the expanded health care team.

“We are ‘over the moon’ to add these five highly skilled practitioners to our team,” said Dr. John Rugge, CEO of Hudson Headwaters. “This is a hugely beneficial step for our patients. It will greatly improve access to these services for women throughout the region, including those who do not have health insurance.”

The new Hudson Headwaters’ practitioners include midwives Lynette Biss, and Claudia Gersten, and physicians Michael J. Finkowski, Danielle Goertzen and Anne Soucy.

They join the Hudson Headwaters’ women’s care team that includes OB/GYN specialist Dr. Edward “Ted” Denious, and midwives McKenzie Jones and Kathryn Kernan.

“Expanding our ability to provide obstetric and gynecological care is a big part of our approach to comprehensive primary care,” Rugge said. He noted that the addition of North Country Obstetrics will increase the number of births handled by Hudson Headwaters’ physicians and nurse midwives by 500 percent.

“We are excited to join the area’s largest and most comprehensive primary care practice,” said Finkowski. “Together, we will continue to provide high-quality care for every stage of a woman’s life: gynecological services, births and follow-up care.”

Existing North Country patients may continue to see their providers at the 90 South Street office in Glens Falls, or at the Warrensburg Health Center. To make an appointment at either location, call 792-7841.
