— The local office of Glens Falls National Bank recently held Customer Appreciation Day, raising hundreds of dollars for charity while citizens attending had some fun, organizers said.

The bank raised $688 to be split between two charities, North Country Ministry and Richards Library. In addition, a box full of non-perishable foods was collected and donated to the Warrensburg Food Pantry.

Featured at the event was a petting zoo populated with animals from Nettle Meadow Farm of Thurman. Also, complimentary document shredding was offered on-site as well as health screening by Warrensburg Emergency Medical Services.

The event was held to show appreciation for the bank’s customers and neighbors, while assisting local charities, bank officials said.
