— In 2012, the Film Society began showing all of its movies at the Whallonsburg Grange.

“We recently installed a new HD projector and a movie screen that is twice the size of the old one,” CVFS Treasurer, Kathryn Reinhardt said. “With our new popcorn machine and comfortable new seating, we offer a true movie theater experience.”

The next movie is “Silver Linings Playbook,” Saturday, May 11, at 8 p.m. at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall. Jennifer Lawrence won the Oscar for Best Actress and the film was nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.
