Our Elizabethtown Food Pantry is one of the main food banks for those in need in Essex County. Currently they need donations, either monetary or dry goods. Every dollar or can of food is important. You can take your donations to various locations around town, the ACAP office at 7572 Court Street next to Aubuchons, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., there’s a donation basket in the Thrift Shop, and donations can be made at the Church of the Good Shepherd parish hall on Fridays between 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Please Help!

Do you enjoy taking good photographs of the gorgeous area we live in? CATS, Champlain Area Trails is hosting their first Photo Contest titled “A View from the Trails”. Those interested participants should submit their entry of a photograph from a CATS trail along with a 25 to 100 word description for each photograph. Contest judges will award the First Place prize of $250 and the winner with the most online votes will receive the People’s Choice prize of $100. The deadline is Wednesday, May 15, for more details go to their website at champlainareatrails.com.
A “Thank You”goes out to Bob Phinney and Tim Supernaw for repairing and protecting the damaged area of the Blueberry Trails, due to four wheelers/ATVs running the trails in mud season. The trails need to be respected, not abused, they are for everyone to use.
Tuesday, April 16, is the regular monthly town board meeting and Thursday, April 18, is the regular ZBA, Zoning Board of Appeals meeting for anyone interested in attending.
