O'Neill leads Fieldstadt in Stony Creek race

— He also said he wants to work on finishing up a decade-old project to establish an extensive network of hiking and nature trails in town.

O'Neill is the son of John T. O'Neill, a talented country singer/guitarist who served the town as supervisor for about a quarter century until his death in 2003.

The younger O'Neill said shortly after seeing the election results that he was looking forward to working on behalf of townspeople -- if he is indeed the successful candidate.

"I want to gather ideas from town residents, determine what they're looking for, And then I'll use my resources to make what can happen, happen," he said.
