continued On Friday morning at 9 a.m., the Local Government Service Committee will come together to review and possibly approve the Town of Day’s Local Land Use Program Amendment. The Town seeks review and approval of a local land use program amendment involving the complete repeal and replacement of the existing zoning law and subdivision law.
At 9:45 a.m., the Economic Affairs Committee will convene for a presentation on local woods products manufacturing. Donna Wadsworth, Communications Manager for International Paper’s Ticonderoga Mill, will discuss operations at their Ticonderoga facility and its impact upon the local economy and the Adirondack forestry industry.
At 10:30 a.m., the Public Awareness and Communication Committee will hear an informational presentation from the Wildlife Conservation Society’s North American Director. Dr. Jodi Ann Hilty will provide a global perspective on climate change and conservation efforts underway. Dr. Hilty will review ongoing global case studies and detail the relevance of the lessons learned for the Adirondack Park.
At 11:30 a.m., the Full Agency will assemble to take action as necessary. The meeting will conclude with committee reports, public and member comment.
