Schroon Lake crushed Wells, 7-1, in Northern Soccer League boys boy Oct. 17.

Jesse Shaughnessy scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Wildcats.

Jim Bowen scored twice for the winners, who also got goals from Justin Lough and Tanner Stone. Lough and Jeff Armstrong had assists.

Caleb Maisonville made four saves in goal for Schroon.

Girls soccer

NAC 2, Moriah 0

Moriah lost to Northern Adirondack, 2-0, in Northern Soccer League girls play Oct. 17.

Rachael Venne and Amanda Campbell scored for the Cougars.

Lauren Cross made five saves for Moriah.

Chazy 4, Ticonderoga 1

Ticonderoga fell to Chazy, 4-1, in Northern Soccer League girls play Oct. 17.

The Sentinels played the powerhouse Eagles even the first half, taking a 1-0 lead on Chelsea Kearns’ goal, before Chazy scored four straight times.

Megan Campney made nine saves for the Sentinels.

Swimming

Plattsburgh 129, Moriah 38

Moriah lost to Plattsburgh, 129-38, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls swimming Oct. 17.

Brooke Dever led Moriah, taking second place in the 500-meter freestyle and 100 backstroke.
