CLINTONVILLE — The AuSable Valley Patriots indoor track and field team will have a mix of experience and newcomers, with three seniors each on the boys and girls team and many newcomers for th girls.
“We will be working hard to develop the talents of these athletes,” head coach Sean Ganter said. “We should be especially strong on the track. We have a good complement of runners from sprinters to distance runners.”
Ganter said there are several athletes who will be looking for solid seasons and a return to Cornell and the state meet.
“Paul Ford is a returning State meet qualifier in the hurdles and high jump,” he said. “Other boys to watch for include Jonathan LaDieu and Ridge Perkett, both in the sprints and long jump, and Brandon Ruocco in the distance races. Ashlee Estes returns for the girls with strong experience in the sprints and high jump. Other girls to watch for include Amanda Smith and Rachel Ford in the distances and Olivia Worden in sprints and middle distance.”
Ganter said that he was looking forward to seeing how the team comes together.
“We look forward to the season and improving every week,” he said.
