continued Ratcliffe will be joined by Curt Stager, Professor, Paul Smith’s College, who will provide an overview of what climate change means for the Adirondacks. Additionally, Corrie Miller, Executive Director, Ausable River Association, will discuss the need for planning for storm events.
At 2:30 p.m., the Park Ecology Committee will be briefed by NYS Department of Environmental Conservation Assistant Commissioner of Natural Resources Kathy Moser on the Invasive Species Council, legislation and other DEC initiatives.
At 3:30 p.m., the Park Ecology Committee will reconvene for a status update from Rob Davies, DEC’s Director of the Division of Lands and Forests on existing forest invasive pests in New York and different responses associated with each along with the legal considerations and parameters associated with this issue in the Forest Preserve.
At 4:30 p.m., the Full Agency will assemble to take action as necessary.
The meeting will conclude with committee reports, Review Board, public and member comment.
