In order to ring in the new, you must make room and that means letting go of what no longer serves you. Clean out your closet. Save pieces that have special meaning and start small. Let go of a few pieces at a time; believe that letting go becomes much easier than when you started your personal transformation.
We have been taught to assess character and make judgments with kind and compassionate truisms: what is on the inside counts or don’t judge a book by its cover. While these thoughts are true and have merit, the greater truth is we are all human and we judge and are judged by the ways in which we present ourselves to the world. Often times our outward appearance is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves and the message we want to, knowingly or unknowingly, send to the world. We encourage you to give yourself permission to look good. Why not? As a friend of ours has said, “Why look bad when you can look better?”
