Town plan calls for library support

To the Adirondack Journal:

The new Comprehensive Plan for the town of Warrensburg, recently adopted by unanimous vote of the Town Board, expresses strong support for Richards Library as one of its goals. The following excerpts are from Section G.4. on page 37:

“The Town…in recognition of the important role the library plays in the community…should further support the regular operations of the library. As the role of libraries continues to evolve, the Town should remain active in supporting this important community resource…”

Voters will have an opportunity to show their support for the library on May 15 at the school district elections by voting in favor of the library’s proposal on the ballot.
