One of two people missing in the most recent search in the Tupper Lake area has been found, while search efforts continue for the other.
23-year old Angela Roberts of Tupper Lake was located, alive, around 8 p.m. March 22 in the town of Piercefield.
According to state police, Roberts was located on a road in the town and transported to the hospital.
Authorities are concentrating their search in the same area for Carl R. Burns Jr,41, also from Tupper Lake.
The search is being aided by Department of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers, State Police K-9 units and aerial support.
Burn is described as 6' 3", 225 lbs, red hair, brown eyes. Unknown what Carl Burns Jr was last seen wearing.
Police are also looking for a vehicle which has been reported as stolen from the scene of a Burglary on Lindsey Avenue in Tupper Lake. The vehicle reported as stolen is a white, 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, New York registration BLU1497. Also reported stolen from the burglary is a handgun.
If anyone sees these two persons or the stolen vehicle, we ask that you immediately call the New York State Police in Ray Brook at 897-2000.
Piercefield is also the headquarters in the search efforts for 18-year old Colin Gillis, who was reported missing March 11. Authorities do not believe that the two cases are related in any way.
