The Elizabethtown-Westport Garden Club extends a thank you to all who helped to make our luncheon in August and our Greens Tea in December successful events. The Club has made the following donations with monies from these events: Elizabethtown Community Hospital, $1,000; High Peaks Hospice, $150; Life Flight Inc., $150; Ambulance Services in Elizabethtown-Lewis, Essex, Moriah, and Westport, $50 each; Food Shelf in Elizabethtown, Moriah, and Westport, $50 each.
The Garden Club meets on the first Thursday at the social center at 11 a.m. Brown bag lunch with dessert and coffee is provided. Interested person are welcome to join as we plan for the coming season. Please call Betty Francois, member chair, at 873-9874. The program for our meeting on April 5 is environmentally friendly practices, ways to keep our landscapes healthy and happy while doing our best to be environmentally friendly.
